The long awaited Baby is here!
Ethan Parker Jones was born at Royal Darwin Hospital at 3:07am on the 25 Jan 08. He weighed in at 4 Kg (8 lb 13 oz) and was 50 cm long. This little fella was not waiting around, we arrived at the hospital just after 1am (2 hrs at the hospital). He was in such a hurry that he arrived while Caz was in the shower. I was chatting to the mid wife when Caz yelled out that she’s having a baby, we both ran into the shower and Caz was standing bent over holding Ethan’s head. The mid wife then held Ethan as the rest of his body came out. Caz and Ethan are both doing well and could be home as early as this afternoon.

Great news to you all!! Have just found the site after Katie filling me in yesterday on hearing of the arrival of Ethan. Well done Caz, you’re definitely a Leahy woman!!! Our congratulations from everyone here in sunny Mildy.
Am having a quiet weekend with Rusty over in Adelaide for the cricket with his mates – can you believe they headed over there without organising tickets and of course you guessed it it was a sell out for the Friday and Saturday games. I believe they made it into the Chappell Stand today. Mum is actually here with me today and her watching the cricket is anything but quiet, she contradicts the umpires and the commentators most of the time in her “bestest voice”!!!!
Have tried to contact Maz in the last couple of days but it has gone to message bank so have just hung up. If you get this Maz, birthday greetings to you my dear – it doesn’t seem like 12 months ago that we were leading the high life in Sydney town. Will try again tomorrow morning.
I am now feeling almost back to “brand new”, with still a few “nanna naps” during the day, have been to Melbourne for my check up and everything is going OK.
Anyway, lots of love to you Caz and Terry and your fine little brood of boys – and once again our heartiest congrats.

CONGRATULATIONS Caz,Terry,Xavier and Will on the arrival of your little bundle.(even though I did lose the bet!)Loved reading about your labour and birth Caz…what a woman!! Hope life in Darwin is treating you well and it’s not too hot for your little brood. Say hi to everyone.
